Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Formerly known as freshwater wildreservaat this impressive 97-square km (about 300 sq km) Wildlife Conservancy (adult / child U.S. $ 25/13) is home to a wide range of plains game including the five big, massive eland antelopes and an abundance of species of birds.
There is also an important Chimpanzee Sanctuary (9-9:30 – 3-4:30), the operation of the Jane Goodall Institute.
Stay?
There are two options for hiring top-endreserve.
Sweet Waters Tented Camp (full board low season s / d U.S. $ 90/180, high season U.S. $ 235/310), recently acquired by Serena Hotels, Ecuador commonplace for some major renovations. Getting there and away

This small village is a convenient stop between Isiolo and Nanyuki and a couple of interesting options for accommodation, and offers a wide range of activities.
Stay?
Timau River Lodge(off Hwy A2 kshs300 camping, accommodation with breakfast per person Kshs1400). Offbeat is a wonderful place, which consists of several beautiful cabins of various sizes and a well-equipped campsite with a covered area of cooking. Restaurant (meals kshs150-450) is good and happily-oriented vegetarians.
Beyond all-inclusive tours (U.S. $ 70 per day) of Mount Kenya in the seldom used path Timau hotel that also offers tours of camel (CR 850 a day), cultural visits (Kshs600day) and Safari Ol Pejeta Conservancy (U.S. $ 68, minimum two people). There's a good chance of seeing elephants and other wildlife.
Ken Trout Guest Cottage (off Hwy A2 field Kshs300, half plate cottages Kshs 2500 per person) this place, 3 km south of Timau, is a more mainstream business, with an excellent restaurant (meals Kshs450; 11:00 – 5: 00 ). There are some very good fish here, even if you pay what you catch. The main building (which can accommodate up to eight) areexclusively leased and old wooden floors and brick fireplaces in most rooms. The houses are much smaller but more so.
Getting there and away
Each matatu rides between Nanyuki and Isiolo and Nanyuki and Meru, or would like to make Timau opportunity to walk or sleep.
El Karama Ranch
About 2 km north-west of Nanyuki, El Karama Ranch (Kshs2500 bandas per person) and the Ewaso Ngiro Riva.
